Arctia’s Annual Report 2024 has been published
In 2024, Arctia achieved record-high revenue and profit while continuing to see positive developments in customer and employee satisfaction. The strategy and sustainability efforts progressed as planned, further strengthening the position as a forerunner in sustainable maritime services.
Significant changes took place during the year, including the transfer of ownership steering to the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the company’s reclassification as a special assignment entity. The icebreaking season was exceptionally long, with a substantial increase in operational days, and Marine Survey Services achieved its best financial result in history.
Major advancements were made in sustainability. The renewed sustainability program is guiding the company toward more sustainable operations, with key achievements such as increasing the use of renewable fuel in hydrographic surveying to over 50% and improving economical navigation practices in icebreaking. Additionally, the number of safety observations increased significantly, supporting continuous improvements in workplace safety.
