Fleet and equipment

Arctia’s icebreaking fleet consists of eight icebreakers: Polaris, Otso, Kontio, Voima, Urho, Sisu, Fennica and Nordica as well as harbor icebreaker Ahto. The most recent addition to the fleet is Polaris, the world’s first icebreaker to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel.

Arctia has Northern Europe’s largest fleet of survey vessels and platforms. Arctia mobile survey platform is available for assignments worldwide, even in smaller ports and harbours where larger vessels cannot operate. Surveys are carried out with the latest survey technologies, including multibeam, singlebeam, side scan sonar, sub bottom profiler, ROV, laser scanning and scanning sonar equipment, supplemented with geotechnical field tests when needed.

In addition, Arctia’s fleet includes two fairway vessels suitable for heavy marine operations, one Oili class vessel suitable for medium-heavy tasks and several Meri 1000, Meri 2000 and Meri 4000 fairway maintenance vessels.
