Arctia's Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the administration of the company and its appropriate organisation. According to the Articles of Association, the Board of Directors shall include a minimum of three and maximum of eight standing members.
A quorum is present at the meetings of the Board of Directors when more than half of its members are in attendance. The Board has its own rules of procedure which define board duties in greater detail.

Kari Savolainen
Chairman of the Board
Kari Savolainen has held the position of Chariman of the Board in Arctia since October 2024. Savolainen has an MSc degree, and he has extensive experience in freight forwarding and logistics. Previously, he has acted as CEO of Finavia and currently he also holds the position of Chairman of the Board at Lentorata Ltd.
Matti-Mikael Koskinen
Vice Chairman of the Board
Matti-Mikael Koskinen has been member of the Board in Arctia since 2022. Koskinen has a Master of Business Administration degree, and he has more than 20 years of business management experience within the shipping and maritime industry. Koskinen has acted as the CEO of ESL Shipping Ltd since 2013 and prior to that, as CEO of Meriaura Ltd. Koskinen act as Vice-President of the European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA).
Kati Pallasaho
Board Member
Kati Pallasaho has been member of the Board in Arctia since 2023. She has a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree and starting 2020, she has held the position of SVP, Strategy and Sustainability, in Lindström Group. In addition to this, Pallasaho has broad backround in business management consulting.
Jukka Hölsä
Board Member
Jukka Hölsä has been a member of Arctias Board since 2024. He has an MSc and an eMBA degree. Hölsä has acted as VP, Logistics, at UPM since 2019 and he has 30 years of experience in management positions within the forest industry.
