The President of Iceland and the President of the Republic of Finland visited icebreaker Urho

The President of Iceland, H.E. Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, and First Lady Eliza Reid are on a state visit to Finland from 14 to 17 May 2018. On 16 May, President Jóhannesson and the President of the Republic of Finland Mr. Sauli Niinistö visited Arctia’s conventional icebreaker Urho. On board IB Urho the Presidents attended a round table discussion on Arctic matters. The discussion emphasized the global significance of the Arctic. The Presidents also familiarized themselves with icebreaking operations and the history of Finnish icebreaking expertise guided by Mr. Timo Aaltonen, Master of IB Urho.
